About Fetchora

A media utility built on verified capability.

Fetchora exists to make one workflow trustworthy: paste a public link, see what is actually available, and choose a real file or a real browser-side operation.

Why this product exists

Download sites often look complete while hiding brittle scrapers behind fake progress bars and invented quality menus. That approach breaks quickly and misleads users. Fetchora takes the opposite position: capability is a typed, testable property, and every failure has a stable error code and a useful next step.

The architecture in one paragraph

A Hono application runs on Cloudflare Workers and server-renders the public site. URL normalization, provider matching, extraction orchestration, response validation, and encrypted download delivery live in the Worker. yt-dlp runs only in an optional companion process because Workers cannot host Python. FFmpeg.wasm is fetched lazily in the browser for local conversions. There is no media database or storage bucket.

Editorial principles

  • Do not advertise a provider whose integration path does not exist.
  • Do not present a manifest, thumbnail, or metadata preview as a finished download.
  • Do not claim a test or performance result that was not observed.
  • Do not invent reviews, ratings, awards, publisher IDs, or contact details.

Open-source foundations

Fetchora builds on Hono, yt-dlp, FFmpeg.wasm, Cloudflare Workers, and Vite. Their licenses and maintenance status are documented with the deployment instructions. The app does not bundle a platform logo or imply endorsement.
