Extract audio from video

Pull the audio track from a local video into MP3 or WAV. The original video never leaves your browser, and the resulting file is generated locally by FFmpeg.wasm.

Extract audio from video, in your browser

Your file stays in this browser. FFmpeg.wasm loads only when you start a job.

No upload

The FFmpeg core is downloaded from jsDelivr on first use. Your media never leaves this tab.

Ready when you are.

Progress, logs, and the result download appear here. Conversions use real FFmpeg output.

What you should know

  • Choose a video file that already exists on your device.
  • MP3 is compressed and portable; WAV preserves the decoded PCM audio.
  • The tool does not download from a URL. Use a downloader tool first if you have the rights to the media.
  • If the video has no audio stream, the job fails with a clear message.

Privacy of local processing

Your file is read with the browser File API and written into FFmpeg's in-memory filesystem inside this tab. The only third-party request is the pinned FFmpeg core from jsDelivr, loaded the first time you run a job. Your file bytes are never sent to Fetchora or jsDelivr. Closing or reloading the tab clears the in-memory filesystem.
