The direct media tool is built for CDN links, personal media servers, and stable files. It supports standard HTTP ports only, blocks private networks, validates redirects, and checks the content type before delivering the stream. No server-side copy is created.

How to use the direct media url downloader

    Download through a signed, expiring Worker link.

What happens to your link

The URL is normalized in the Worker. A recognized platform selects the extractor or public metadata path. An unrecognized public host receives a direct media probe first, then a generic public-page metadata fallback. The target never receives your Fetchora cookies, and no private address is contacted.

Download options are tied to a 20-minute encrypted token. The Worker streams the selected file and does not write it to R2, KV, D1, or disk.
