What this downloader does
Instagram is one of the most access-controlled platforms in this directory. Public pages may still return a login wall to an automated visitor. Fetchora first checks whether a real public preview can be read, then asks the extraction service only when one is configured.
For public carousel posts, the extraction engine can return multiple images or videos. Fetchora displays every item separately and preserves the source extension. For Reels, it may return a video stream with or without a separate audio track.
When Meta blocks the request, the result explains the limitation. Fetchora does not use stolen sessions, third-party cookies, or a hidden browser profile to get around Instagram access controls.

Known limits
What this page will not do
Private accounts, close-friends content, and login-only posts are not supported.
Instagram often changes its GraphQL and page markup; extraction can fail until the engine is updated.
Story downloads require access Fetchora intentionally does not implement.

Can I download a private Instagram post?
No. Fetchora does not authenticate as you and does not bypass account privacy. Only media that is publicly retrievable by the extraction service can be resolved.
Are Instagram carousels supported?
Yes, when the Public post returns multiple media items to the extraction engine. Each item is listed separately instead of hiding the rest behind a ZIP.
Why do I see metadata but no download?
The deployment may not have the extraction service connected, or Instagram may be serving a login wall. Public oEmbed or preview metadata does not imply a downloadable video.
