Media metadata inspector

Inspect a local file's container, streams, codecs, duration, and dimensions. Fetchora uses browser media APIs and the FFmpeg build's own stream report, so the output is derived from your file rather than guessed.

Media metadata inspector, in your browser

Your file stays in this browser. FFmpeg.wasm loads only when you start a job.

No upload

The FFmpeg core is downloaded from jsDelivr on first use. Your media never leaves this tab.

Ready when you are.

Progress, logs, and the result download appear here. Conversions use real FFmpeg output.

What you should know

  • No output file is created during inspection.
  • The report includes file size, MIME type, container hints, and FFmpeg stream lines.
  • EXIF or embedded personal metadata is not uploaded anywhere. Read the report locally and close the tab when done.
  • This is a stream-inspection tool, not a forensic metadata parser.

Privacy of local processing

Your file is read with the browser File API and written into FFmpeg's in-memory filesystem inside this tab. The only third-party request is the pinned FFmpeg core from jsDelivr, loaded the first time you run a job. Your file bytes are never sent to Fetchora or jsDelivr. Closing or reloading the tab clears the in-memory filesystem.
